Semax

Semax is a synthetic analog of ACTH(4-10), the fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone responsible for nootropic activity. Unlike full-length ACTH, Semax lacks hormonal (corticotropic) effects while retaining neurotrophic properties.

The peptide upregulates brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF) expression. It modulates serotonergic, dopaminergic, and cholinergic neurotransmitter systems, influencing cognitive processes including attention, learning, and memory.
